Friend's monitor randomly loses signal

A friend of mine recently got an RTX 3060 Ti and for some reason sometimes his games (Wild assault, Elder scrolls online, genshin impact, fortnite) makes his monitor fully shut down (Since he uses it's speakers these also are turned off), altho he says the monitor's light blinks when it happens. However it also happens when doing light tasks like watching a stream, drawing, etc. His PC tower, however, is still turned on (No restart, no shutdown) when this happens

He tried using his 32" LG TV (NON OLED) and the same issue happens. He even tried lowering the resolution from 1080p to 1360x768 but nothing.

His previous GPU, ASUS 1050 Ti 4GB OC, NEVER did this tho.

His actual specs are:

-ASUS PRIME a320m-k (2017, the oldest stuff)
-GIGABYTE AORUS RTX 3060 Ti 8GB
-32GB DDR4 RAM Micron
-2 SSDs
-Cougar XTC argb 650 650 W
-PHILIPS 24E1N1100A
-W11 latest version

-Nvidia drivers updated

He used a new HDMI 2.0 cable too that's not the one that might've come with the GPU

If it kinda helps, he says that playing ATLYSS or COMMAND & CONQUER REMASTERED DOESN'T causes these issues (But again, now it happens when doing lighter things)

I suspect a few things for now:

-He shown me his new bought HDMI cable, 2.0 4K supported "with ethernet" and 1.8 meters, and the cable might not be good enough?. Should he get something like a UGREEN?

-CPU bottlenecking the GPU causes the screen to power off because it can't power powerful games or something?

-PSU is weak and doesn't powers the GPU properly?

-The monitor and TV are just weak?

Thanks in advance

Seems like the monitor loses signal or power or both at some point
1. Try using another socket to power the monitor
2. Try another port on the GPU or try one on the motherboard if CPU's integrated graphics
3. Try a different cable

Recent Nvidia drivers had known black screen issues. Although I thought these issues were fixed by now (what version is he running exactly?), I would still recommend trying to rollback to driver version 566.36
which are know to be good.

my old viewsonic does that from time to time... so what i did is i unplug the monitor, power and all for 5mins lets all the power drain...

then power it back up again...

this should help temporarily but i think maybe the monitor is on its way out

A monitor from just 2 years ago already dying?...

Right now the monitor doesn't even wants to show anything when the PC's powered on. We're trying with a better quality PSU (CORSAIR RMX 1000W, we couldn't find him a 850W version) and if it fails then the next thing would be the monitor's cable to a quality UGREEN one (comes this saturday for him). If that also fails then the monitor itself. If that also fails then the GPU he got from such friend must be a "Here, have my GPU (that's about to die and well, BEEP you)" one, aka the main issue

Else what, bottlenecking?

Told my friend to try again with his previous 1050 GTX he still owns but he's not responding yet. Will let ya know. If ya know any other possible things lemme know

Make sure all PSU cables are Snaped in the seatings as I’ve seen a few not seated before cause havoc…..

had this same prob with a friend of mine today , so i took my monitor to their place, hooked it up and exact same problem, turned out to be a faulty hdmi cable, replaced the cable with a nice shiny new display port cable and problem solved.

wiggle the cable about a bit in case. that worked in our case, so we knew it was that.
