G Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600MHz CL16-16-16-36 1.35V doesn t even work like a regular 3200

So.. i decided to upgrade my PC a tad..

Aorus Master Z490 (BIOS F3 and F5.. no difference)
I7 - 10700K
G Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600MHz CL16-16-16-36 1.35V 2x16GB
PSU: Cougar GX Gold 1050

So.. the RAMM definitely doesn t work as specced. It doesn t even work at 3400. I got it to work at 3200 with 1.35 but the timings are automatically set to 22. If i try to manually set the timings (tried 14 14 ... 34) it works but when i check it with CPU ID it shows a Frequency of 2800 with said timings. IF i go into the BIOS again is still shows 3200.
Be that as it may... i did pay a rather hefty Premium for the 3600 (as opposed to let s say 3200 it s a 150E difference) and seeing as the other components are also supposed to be premium i don t see a reason why it doesn t work. Any ideas ? Before you ask. With XMP enabled and set at the advertised 3600 it doesn t boot.

The Gigabyte Bios is rather complicated. Maybe i should ve listened to the reviews and gotten a MSI or ASUS instead.. -.-

Isn't the G Skill Neo product range built for the AMD platforms? I'm sure it will work fine on Intel too, but maybe you need to set it up manually for optimal performance, which can be a deep dive if you plan to push it to the edge.

is your kit 4x8GB or 2x8GB ?
Also I dont have Z490 board but on Z370 I increased Vccio and System Agent Voltage to 1.15V and 1.25V respectively (defaults are .95V and 1.05V, a 0.2V increase). These are the recommended voltage value for high performance RAM.
If you enable XMP some manufacturers would increase these voltages too but it's safer to set it manually.

Sry.. edited. It 2x16 GB. And like i said.. it doesn t boot with XMP activated. I ve went so far as 1.4v. No difference.

Solved: Ramm was in 1/3 slots instead of 2/4. As soon as i changed them in 2/4 it worked at 3.600 with the correct timings.
