I'm currently building a computer using GA-Z97X-SLI motherboard with Win7 Home premium:

I have set the on-board RAID to RAID 1 (2 SSD) for the OS.

I have installed a HighPoint 2720SGL RAID card for 4 SATA III HD's to be set as RAID 1 +0.

I've installed the drivers for the HighPoint RAID card without to much problems. But on boot I do not get the setup screen for the HighPoint ctrl + M (I've also read to use ctrl + H.)

Not sure witch one to use. BUT.....

on boot I only receive the screen for the on-board RAID. ctrl +I nothing is shown for the HighPoint.

Note: when I am booted into Win7 I can start the Highpoint web interface software but it does not see any of the hard drives connected to the card.

I've also read something about loading (or flashing) a BIOS file but I can't seem to find a place to download this file.

Any suggestions? Can I use the on-board RAID and the HighPoint Raid card at the same time. I've been able to do this on my other machine all be it on a different motherboard.

I found out the problem! I ordered the wrong cables I orderd
NORCO C-SFF8087-4S Discrete to SFF-8087 (Reverse breakout) Cables

When I needed to order...

HighPoint Int-MS-1M4S SFF-8087 to 4 SATA Fan Out Cable - OEM

I was just going to say, check your wiring.

I don't think the boot screen for Highpoint cards comes up unless it detects something plugged in. So if it doesn't detect any hard drives it won't give you the option to press Ctrl+H. At least that is how my highpoint cards work.
