Gears Tactic won't start after undervolting(Crash on boot)

Hi! I have a Omen by HP 2019 15 inch, Intel i7-9750H, and 1660ti. I have undervolted the CPU because it got pretty hot (97 degrees, but no performance issues what so ever, so maybe I should not even undervolt the CPU in the first place?)
I have done the following adjustments:
FIVR - Set cores to 36 GHz TPL - Turbo Boost Long and Short to both30. Under miscellaneous set max to 36 and Voltage offset -125 for both Core and Cache.

Every game I have tested has worked fine, except Gears Tactics that crash during the start scene, because of this(in task manager my CPU goes to 100 % during boot of Gears Tactics). If I undo the undervolting the game launch fine and run perfectly.

Thanks in advance.

this is normal that some games are harder on over\undervolt.
try -100

i just looked up gears tactic crashes at start and you are not the only one.

so your undervolt may be not the problem.

Ye but when Valorant(Vanguard) blocked Throttlestop (so the program could not be started and my CPU was running at default) it worked fine for Gears Tactics. So for me, that is the error.

do you run some monitoring tool ?

new games often have probs at start so thats why i wait a month till the first flaws are patched out.
we are the new beta testers.

Any specific monitor tools I should use?

Yes, true but why does it work perfectly before I undervolted?

Post screen shots of your Throttlestop settings.

Here you go.

lower the CPU cache undervolt to -0.80v and work back towards -0.125 until you find it stable. keep cpu core where its at or possibly even lower it, too low a cpu cache offset causes instability on 9750h.
cpu core settings on mine are -0.120 and cache is -.850

Thank you I will test. Do you also have a 9750h? Should I also change the other settings or are they fine?

ok so typically the 9750h thorttles so much so that eventually it settles at 3.6ghz during stressing. You either limit the multiplier to decrease the stress or undervolt, which can than allows the cpu headroom to go up in frequency. If you want more performance with an undervolt than you need to raise the multiples back to default. The CPU will run at 4ghz and will not throttle with the undervolt in place. Software undervolting will not decrease battery life. In my experience it worsens. So i mostly turn it on when its plugged in. If its slowing down under 4.0GHz then it isn't working because HP has power limits in place. My 9750h is the 60watt version.

Awesome appreciate it. And if you go to "TPL" can you take a screenshot there as well? Also from the start screen from Throttlestop.

Thanks man. I tried your settings but my CPU was getting kinda warm(93 isch degrees, but maybe that is fine or? Because with my current settings the clock speed never goes over 3,6 GHz) but after going with my original settings and just set the CPU cache to -85mv Gears Tactic now works perfect :) Thanks for the help guys.

That's normal, i was hitting 95-97 constantly with the above settings. The photos of my system run the CPU and GPU with liquid metal instead of stock thermal paste.
