General Mouse help / Asus Mice. Do they (all) need software to select DPI?

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
Looking to get rid of my Corsair Mouse because it seems that the iCue software is required to change DPI.... or I don't know how to work this thing, lol.

I want to run a decent Asus mouse as my motherboard is Asus as well. But the deal breaker is that I don't need Armory Crate or some app open/loaded in order to change DPI on the fly.

Any help is appreciated... which Asus mouse works that way or how can I get the Corsair mouse to change DPI without iCue on (it tends to close randomly and I need to open it...sometimes in mid-game).

TIA!

Would you buy a burger from Pizza Hut?

Just stick the with professionals. Logitech G Pro is probably the best gaming mouse out there.

Bought it on 1/2017, still working 100%, costed me just $60, no gimmicks, just pure high precision and low response time.

Settings are stored in the mouse onboard memory, no need to keep the app running, even for DPI change on-the-fly.

Typically with Corsair, you set the DPI levels, save it to a profile (stored on the peripheral), and you do not need the software as long as the mouse has a DPI button, or you select one in software.

Your specs tab doesn't work, so what Corsair mouse specifically?

ill get back to you on the model... mobile.

Pretty sure I've saved the profile but will double check. Im happy to keep it if its just a PEBKAC.

Also, for shits and giggles, you may want to manually make sure the firmware is up to date.

FW is updated as of a couple weeks ago.. but will have it check again tonight.

Ironclaw RGB (wired) is the model.

Yeah, it should work as described.

I started from scratch and it all seems to work now. Not sure if it was me (likely) or a glitch in iCue, but it seems like I'm all set.

Now, can anyone find a Carbide Air 740 case? :p

I find iCUE works every other update. I run into issues with head units more though.
