So I've seen a few multi-socket server motherboards and I came across this ASUS DSAN-DX. I'm intrigued to know more about the PIKE slots. Is this like adding a SB for raid control? I know there are more advantages to that slot, but this is the first I've seen with this type of connection(proprietary I know).

That's pretty crazy actually... o.o Never seen a server board like that before.

Ah, yes, it's more like adding a raid controller card though, not a full blown SB chip.
