Hi guy this is a big problem for me, i recently got a new monitor and when I set it up and plugged in my Dvi cable from my graphics card to my Monitor(Asus Vg248qe) i was locked at 1024 * 768 resolution, i tried updating my drivers but still no luck i read tons of thread but it always seems they go dead without any resolution, also hdmi would work perfectly and when i look into device manager it would register as generic pnp monitor and work at 1080p
