ghost in comp

he wants a new cpu anyways, i know hes mobo doesn't support the new phenom II's but would a phenom 9850 or 9950 make a difference in terms of speed, he wants gta 4 to run smoothly

5000+ brisbane at 1.578v just to run 3.0ghz is that right? or did I read that wrong?
Yes the 9850 or 9950 would be a good leap in speed even a tri core black ed or 7750 BE would be faster.

u read right, yeah i know the voltages are way to high lol, i am not worried about how long the cpu last as long as temps are good, now if he had phenom, i would puppy it hehe maybe push it to 2.8 or 3.0ghz, ftw a 7750 would only give him a 10% boost if overclocked, not worth it, i was leading towards a phenom tri or quad

I went from a 5000+ BE (clocked to 3.2ghz) to a 8450 tri core (clocked to 2.8ghz) it was a big improvement, and I just got a phenom II 940 today lol

lmao nice lucky u, give me your 5000+ BE seems how u dont need it

u must of got lucky to hit 2.8ghz most tri's dont oc that well, this is what i heard

Sorry it went into my niece's pc.

already own a amd 5000 be myself, runs 3.2ghz 24/7, highest clock i hit was 3.3ghz, 1.650v

mine always bsod on 3.3ghz but ran 3.2ghz at 1.45 nicely.

not to shabby same as me 3.2ghz 1.475v
