Hi, still struggling to choose a Z390 board for my i7 9700k. After reading all of the reviews and getting totally confused about VRM and thermal throttling, I had decided on the Auros Pro WIFI however I have just read a review which states this:
“No AVX offset with MCE enabled (5GHz AVX = bad), ICCmax Constraints not followed, Disabled MCE still does not throttle as Intel guidelines dictate, No POST code display”.
PC will be used for gaming, probably STEAM mostly, audio production Cubase, and video editing. Never overclocked before but would like to give it a go.
Originally I was going with the ASUS Z390 Rog Strix E but reviews and price bad. All of the Z390 boards seem to have some sort of issue. Was looking to spend up to £250 max but preferably a lot less!
I have listed the items I have decided on so far, only bought the PSU.
The last PC I built I had never heard of any of this, do I really need to worry about it? I have no idea what it is!
Thanks so much for your help!
