The awkward moment when your predecessor has more VRAM.... Both these cards will likely be terrible from a $$$ to performance perspective so the less in the news the better imo.

at $399 the RTX 4060 can work, at $499 (rumors have the card anywhere in between $399-499) you are talking about a card that may not even offer RTX 3070 performance with an MSRP just as much as the RTX 3070 when it launched two years ago.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 is expected to offer performance close to the RTX 3070. Recent whispers hint that the Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti may only offer RTX 3070 performance, which means the non-Ti version would, theoretically, pack less of a punch.

My guess is Nvidia will come out with some sort of B$ about it being better than a PS5 for the same price lmao but I hope I'm wrong.

Ha I just knew that 3060 decision was going to come back to haunt them  absolutely useless memory subsystem in gaming yet sets counterproductive expectations for the successor. Just stopped looking at the 40 series "leaks", they get sadder and sadder with every passing day

MSRPs and even the "price cuts" here seem to be meaningless. 4070 Tis and 4080s still haven't budged an inch. Navi31 still out here pretending that MSRP is $900.

I remember every Nvidia card i bought. I miss the old days of performance increase. Now we are in a sad loop.

It will be fine for 1080p and games without memory leaks.
But day after day every new brand requires more and more vram.
