That's my problem with Gigabyte too. The marketing states how quiet the sleeve bearings are, and they claim that they're near to the life of ball bearing. However if they're so good why do they use double ball bearings on all their higher-tier (ie Master) models? The Master models marketing states "The double ball bearing structure has better heat endurance and efficiency than sleeve structure." Their Windforce, Eagle and Gaming OC sub-models barely differ, and all use sleeve bearings.

People keep buying though, so they'll keep doing it.
