I'm having issues with the card, i had it for almost 2 years and now is giving me problems that i don't know how to fix, sometimes when I'm doing nothing my screen just turns off and then when i want to boot the pc again it shows that there is no VGA source on the mobo, i tried switching drivers, cables, but nothing works, also my OC bios mode from the gpu has stopped working and now im only able to boot the pc with the card on the silent bios mode, idk if anyone has an idea of what can i do to probably fix it since the card is a beast for gaming but im currently having a lot of problems with it... sometimes the card boot but sometimes dont.

im currently using the silent bios mode of the card but sometimes it will stop working for some reason and then it will work again, i dont know the cause of this so i cant replicate the problem.

OC bios mode of the card stopped working, (ive always used oc bios mode before the problem started) and it only shows no VGA red light on my mobo, the computer starts but i have no image basically.

If I were in your shoes and if the card is still under warranty I would reach out to the manufacturer and start the RMA process because there is no reason why the card would stop functioning under either of the BIOS.

The only real way to truly see if it is a problem with the card itself is to test it in another computer to see if the problems follow the card.

I can't return it since I bought the card second hand 2 years ago, and I don't have another PC, I just don't know why the GPU started to have problems like this, I've never changed the thermal paste or cleaned the GPU tho...

Only times I've changed the thermal paste/pads is when a GPU hits 5/6/7 years old and I'm still using it or someone plans on using it for a while.

It's hard to troubleshoot issues on computer parts if you don't have spare parts or anyone you know that has a computer you could use to test with. I don't want to say for sure it's the GPU, but I doubt it is a power issue (PSU) or software (driver) issue. Drivers tend to cause lock ups and BSODs, you can usually find errors about driver related problems in the event viewer. Power issues tend to have straight forward issues to awkward issues; such as ones that could be easily spotted by a complete system shutdown, nothing in your tower showing it is getting power after pushing the power button or an awkward and hard to diagnose issue such as your system run sluggishly during heavy loads.

Maybe there is an issue with the motherboard and it's having problems..... It's just hard to pinpoint problems if you don't have other known working items to test with. Just blindly dropping money on new parts can be a big waste of time and money if you don't know what you need to change out.

If you don't have spare parts to test with and want to try and resolve the issue without randomly spending money, you could see if there is a local repair shop in your area - have them test things on your system.

For it to start doing that, get it repaired at a repubtable place like northridgefix. @neatfeatguy has the right idea about a local shop so you aren't spending money on shotgunning parts.

I just tried to boot with the oc bios mode and it worked!! I changed my monitor 2 days ago, maybe that was the issue?
