Hey. I was origionally planning on getting a new video card, but I've decided to go 32-bit. I need, for under 140$ (CAN push to 150 if it is a MUST):
Motherboard:
20 pin
64-bit
AGP slot
PCI slot (not pci express)
support for DDR400
Processor:
AMD perferred, must be 64-bit
IF AMD:
1600+ AT LEAST
At least 400FSB, 533 perferred (or higher?)

Other devices I am running right now is 2 512mb DDR400 sticks, sound card, one HDD, one drive (sony 16x dvd burner). PSU is 300W, 10A

Argh. Ends 8/31. This is for christmas :/

Then why can't you buy it now?

Cause its for christmas... 4 months away... :\ :/ =|

Ok well your first selection had a 754 mobo and an AM2 CPU... Have you ever built a computer?

Also, it seems that there is NO AM2 mobo that supports AGP! So you have to go 939 or 754!

If your making mistakes like wanting to buy a cpu that doesn't use the same socket as the motherboard I suggest you do some serious research to stop yourself accidently buying incompatible products :)

The mobo ad CPU say AM2 wtf?
nvm... wtf..

Prices are going to drastically change by christmas... but to reply id go with a amd 3000 venice socket 939, a cheap msi motherboard with pcie, and a pcie x700. By christmas you should be able to get all 3 items for 150ish... especially if there on sale then. The amd 3000 venice is 60$ as of now, and it will overclock nicely for a cheap processor.
