Any one who has good torrent software please point me to one? I've got azureus here but, I got problems with NAT/Firewall etc, and the test always fails, anyway can you teach me how to configure that? lol sorry and thanks
 
Whichever torrent software you use, you are going to have the same problem. You need to configure your firewall to open certain ports.

Is uPnP turned on in your router? If not, you have to manually configure it to open the ports to Azureus.

what happens if it cant connect anyway?
 
Where can I check upnp? On the router config or windows? I just got broadband back again, after for so many ages lol

EDIT: Heres what it says

Then the ISP may be blocking the default ports. You should then try to change your ports. I use something in the 24000, 25000, or 64000 ranges.

yea but what happens if you its just blocked... Azureus still downloads all at 400kbps here
 
I think I don't have a router? Lol it's just some ethernet thing from wifi company then it its connected to the antenna, its like

PC --> small thing with plug and female hole for antenna > line to antenna

it uses Canopy for configuration

Ehhh.. What bout my problems? I can see NAT config on my modem config, and theres a table for Ip's and ports there... should that be the 1?

utorrent is the best torrent program.

Google for your router or internet device, and find out how to port forward.

And to be honest.. mods may not like this. Torrents are borderline on the 'no piracy' rules here.
 
I was jst asking for a good torrent downloading program not torrent sites :) anyway, port forwarding = go to my nat config and place PC ip and port and set it to TCP? and im good to go?

if Azureus cant connect over the port....
 
I use utorrent 1.6 and there is plenty of help setting up on their forums,also any help you need on port forwarding can be found here.

EDIT: I also use the same port each time,dont randomise it each time.

pretty much

The goal is to have a single port forwarded to your IP addy, and have the torrent program listen to that port.

Setting this up can be hard, say if your router gives you a new IP every time you turn the PC on - there are various ways to go into setting this so that you get the same IP every time, but the easiest way to do so really depends on your equipment.
 
you could try FlashGet 1.9.2 I was just trying it it has torrent adding too aswell as rapidshare click and past while pages of rapidshare.. but I couldnt get it to work perfectly for that :P but I noticed you can add torrents to it aswell.. you can set it as a dl manager.. ohwell I cant work it out atm I gtg sleep.. but I would of liked it for my rapidshare links.. since it took them all at once lol just that I ended up with 6mb rars.. in the dl folder :P meh
