I actually don't know what this stuff is doing, but I use OpenDNS to block pages.
 
this is more of the opposite, in a nutshell, you use thier server for dns resolution and it susposed to speed up browsing immensely.
 
No doubt they will be collecting user data from this.

I like the IP addresses they got, too.

Using it now. Doesn't feel faster...
 
at a guess, it would mostly help those on smaller/overloaded ISP's

for example, comcast users in peak hours when everything goes to a crawl

(same for exetel users here in Au)
 
I'm using OpenDNS as well and just tried Google's and I didn't see any increase in speed. Then again, my ISP decides to run one line for the entire town so my "15mpbs" line seems like dial-up anyway during peak times.:shadedshu

Nevermind the fact that Google and their private data collection techniques aren't too far away from Orwellian, I'll pass...
