Hello,

Sorry for my English.

I have a problem with my setup:

I have 2 GPUs:

  • 6650XT
  • NVS 295
I use them for multiple screens.

Everything works well except for one major issue:

When my computer goes into sleep mode and then wakes up, the screens connected to the NVS 295 crash. I have to reboot the computer to get the screen back, and it works fine again—until the next time the computer enters sleep mode.

Can someone help me?

Ive never been a huge fan of corsairs cheaper power supplies. Especially their CX stuff. I think they cut too many corners when it comes to quality.

Is there any way to test the card in a spare machine?

Also pull out two sticks of ram. Keep it dual channel and see if the issue still happens. 4 sticks of ram like that can put a hell of a lot of stress on a memory controller unless its an HEDT setup that supports quad channel memory.

Test the card in a spare machine. Pull two sticks of ram and check that all your chipset drivers are uptodate.

I believe I missed this. I think thats were your problem probably lies. historically running two different cards from different manufacturers will potentially cause issues like driver conflicts as they'll fight over which one is the primary display.

Unless you need the 295 for CUDA/Compute or gaming (as weak as the card is these days...) it might be worth buying an USB to DP/HDMi multi port display adapter to plug the extra monitors into instead of running the 295.

Something like this from Startech will work -

You may find similar products for less in your region. Sadly they do cost money but you'll save money on your electricity bill by not running multiple GPus
