So I'm interested after what GPU should I look on the used market in order to play late 2000 to early 2010 fps games on a 900p monitor. The budget is pretty restrained, to about 250 Ron here in Romania(about 60$). Was thinking of GTX 770, 680 even 760 and the 960. What would you, guys, recomand. The CPU that I'll be using is a Ryzen 3 2200g

Also, the PSU is 550w of not the greatest power ( think of very basic semi-old PSU )

Given the power supply constraints and your very low budget, wouldn't it be more sensible to buy a stronger APU instead? 900p isn't very intensive, so you could flip the 2200g and buy something like a 3400G (with Vega 11) instead.

Otherwise, out of these, ignore anything Kepler (600 and 700 series), these GPUs are terrible and out of support. The only Kepler cards I would be willing to purchase at around $60 are GTX 780 Ti/Titan models and you probably won't find them for that kind of price. Buy the GTX 960, or if you can find for a similar price, an RX 560 GPU.

It's hard to know what to advice specifically without really knowing what Romanian GPU prices are like. I'm pretty sure many 2007-2013 games will run at 60fps @ 900p on a 2200G without a GPU (that's the Remastered version, the original runs 60fps at 1080p). No point buying a bottom rung GPU (eg GT 1030) that's no real faster than your APU, but a GTX 1050Ti will be 2x faster than that. When I had a 1050Ti, I found the vast majority of early 2010's games like Bioshock Infinite, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Dishonored, Alien Isolation, Skyrim, etc, were silky smooth at 1080p. 900p is even easier to drive as are older pre 2010 games.

Anything over a GT 1030 will be a decent bump in performance (~50% increase), but besides used I cannot really find anything in that price range.

Do not buy Kepler or older - these are out of driver support.

Your best bet may be an RX 550, but you will be taking a gamble that it is a mining card.

Get a 6500XT and smiule at the price/performance. 900P does not need much VRAM.

yea, and the pathetic pcie x4 would hold that card back. OP mentioned 2200G
For older games its actually recommended to get an older gpu as well. A 660ti should be a decent choice: really cheap. somewhat efficent, and performance wise its about equal to a 1630.

If I looked at the right site, prices (for used cards) are pretty brutal. RX 580 is 790L...
Kepler (660Ti or 680 or 770) is fine, then we have the GTX 750 Ti (Maxwell I), still supported and very low-power, GTX 660 performance, for more: GTX 960, or GTX 1630.

The PCIe thing isn't as bad as you think. I've already tested the 5500XT 4 and 8GB versions and y'all keep exaggerating how bad it is.

https://m.olx.ro this is a slightly better site. Well usually, at 800L you are looking at 1070s or even some 1070 tis. At about 200L I did find some 770s and even some 960s

From what I searched there, at 200 lei you will only find junked 960's.

Looks like the 2 GB 1050 is your best option. Look it up. Be mindful that these things are quite old by now, and you should buy one in as new condition as possible.

This. I have a 6500XT. 1080P performance is similar to a mighty GTX 980. Best bang for the buck GPU I've purchased lately.
I've had recently (last 30 days or so) RX 6650 XT, RX 6600, RX 6500 XT, GTX 1030, and a GTX 1650.
By far the RX 6500 XT is great performance to the $ and OCs very decently too.

I have input these parameters: Componente-Laptop-PC, Placi Video, Memorie: 2GB, Stare: Utilizat, Pret: 300.
If you can find a GTX 960 for 200 Lei that works, go for it, otherwise on first and second page I found for ~350 Lei:
-a Gigabyte R9 380 (up to 190W), it's basically a HD 7950 with updated shaders and 4 triangles per clock instead of tired 2 (that even HD 6950) had,
-a Gigabyte GTX 960 (up to 120W), for 300 Lei,
and another GTX 960 (MSI) for 350.
The crazy thing is the 750 Ti is at 350 Lei as GTX 960, so it is automatically out of the game.
Please write your (other) choice here, I'm curious. :)

So... For 400 lei, close to 90$ or 80€, I've managed to find a HP z400 with an Intel xeon w3520, 8 gb of DDR3 ecc ram and a nice and shiny, 4gb sapphire r9 380 from a guy that wanted to meet me in person, at 70 km away from my home. Everything works, it only need a 20$ ssd but this means I abandoned the Ryzen 3 2200g idea. This should be more than enough for light gaming and other tasks. Also, i didn't expect an OEM PSU to have two 6 pin power connecters. My dad is very happy with the whole thing. Also was clean af and well maintained. This should be kinda the end of the search. Thanks everyone for the help. You were all very helpful and kind. Have a great day.

Nice! It isn't quite as much computer, but not bad anyways. I would suggest adding another pair of 2GB sticks to take advantage of the triple channel bandwidth. Also the extra may come in handy.

Well, just what I would consider a tier lower in performance overall than what you were looking at before. Still a balanced build and is quite a bit better than the one I am currently gaming with.

I agree, but now since the total build is 50% cheaper than the one that I had in mind, since the whole Ryzen 3 pc would have been 450 lei / 100$ plus the gpu, so about 300 lei, this will be a little more cost effective. Also, the r9 380 still had a little bit of plastic foil on it and it was satisfying to peel it off :)

On our way back I tried to talk with my father about the games we used to play when I was little, and somehow got into promising him that I'll install some Wolfnsteins on it, so he could play the games our old 2008 pc couldn't. This pc, for what it is, will comfortably be enough for working in Excel, watching YT and playing The New Order. :)

Oh don't get me wrong, it is still a quite decent machine. I played through AC: Origins, The New Order, and Borderlands 3 on a GPU less than half as powerful.

Also, i didn't expect an OEM PSU to have two 6 pin power connecters. My dad is very happy with the whole thing. Also was clean af and well maintained. This should be kinda the end of the search. Thanks everyone for the help. You were all very helpful and kind. Have a great day.
Now go looking for an x5690 or x5677. They are super cheap and will be substantial upgrades over the w3520. A lot more clockspeed and takes DDR3-1333 ECC RAM. You can check to see what the max Xeon is that that workstation supports—the chips are dirt cheap on eBay.

Based off of what you said, I'd recommend a used 960 or 950 (They're $40-$60, assuming you don't count anything else in the price) as they are cheap and still have driver support. You also could go with an RX 560 or 570 like that other person said. You should get plenty of fps in 900p resolution, especially since it is 900p and not 1080p(Which is very odd considering 1080p is the standard and 900p is like, well, an old resolution basically). I have multiple PC configurations, and one of them uses a GTX 1060, i7-4770K, 16GB DDR3 RAM, and a 1080p monitor. With a 960 or a 950, you should get the same fps that I get while you use 900p(As I use 1080p). I hope my reply was helpful.

Given the power supply constraints and your very low budget, wouldn't it be more sensible to buy a stronger APU instead? 900p isn't very intensive, so you could flip the 2200g and buy something like a 3400G (with Vega 11) instead.
I'm pretty sure getting a 950 or 960 would be better, because you can get 4GB of vram with those. I'm pretty sure any iGPU shares 512MB-1GB of standard RAM with the system. Having 4GB is a lot better than 1GB or even <512MB.

Yeah. The dedicated card would no doubt be faster, but a bit more power hungry too. OP's tradeoff to decide.
