2.59 is last version that works.

2.6X will not start at all.

Which version of Windows 11 Pro are you using?
I.e. 22H2, 23H2, 24H2/etc?

22H2.

Update to latest ver. 24H2, try again.

No offense, but that is not a solution.

Should work on 22H2.

Maybe W1zzard will have a solution.

Thanks anyway.

It will be a solution not just to this, but will add many new useful features added in Windows 11 versions 23H2, 24H2.
Of course, your own (bad) choice to not do this. :)

(Also, sooner or later you will get the version 24H2 update anyway.
So, better do it now than wait.)

It also brings new bugs, @Arctucas as, just use the older version

Just this 1 is a major change everyone wants! :)

* On Windows 10, regardless of version you can easily drag app icons from the Start menu to the desktop.
Not so in Windows 11! This was removed from the start, and was not there for a long while.

Finally, Windows 11 ver. 24H2 added this back.
Solely even for this feature, you should get ver. 24H2. :)

Also, even if delayed now, it will install automatically, sooner or later.

Never used that feature. Have no need for it.

And it will not install on my rig automatically.

Anyway, mods can close this thread as the issue has been resolved.

Thanks

very strange, but good to hear that reverting to an older os image has fixed it

That is weird, works for me on Win11 21H2. Gotta love that MS has crapped up the newer builds so much that a lot of us aren't moving on. lol

Most likely Windows Event Viewer would show any events that occurred.
But moot point now if a system image roll-back was done. (Event Viewer logs are gone)
