GPU-Z update loop (Windows 10 64-bit)

I am getting an update loop of GPU-Z.
This has happened before, but not soon.

ISSUE:
1) Run GPU-Z app - 1.12.0. Says 1.14.0 versions exists and is newer.
2) Choose to update, installs (seemingly) fine.
3) Version is now 1.14.0.
4) Quit, run again - shows as 1.12.0 version. --> see 1). :)

Any ideas why this happens? W1zzard, could you fix this maybe?

Just uninstall it manually first and then install the latest version.
Thats how I do it and it works everytime!

is your exe 1.12 or 1.14 ? or do you somehow have a 2nd install on your system?

I know, but I'd rather have W1zzard fix this properly. :)

W1zzard - one install only. But I did run the Test Version 4-5 times from another location (my Dropbox, currently located on drive D).

EDIT: Fixed now, just did same steps, this time it worked for some reason.
Shots from what happens when it did not work, tried several times --- will attach now.
Something it seems in the update/upgrade procedure is not working quite well, methinks.

Hmm .. need better steps to reproduce.

The installer adds a key with the install path to the registry, which is checked against and then that "Update GPU-Z" box is displayed.

I don't have better steps - this is all, I have nothing to add.

Maybe it is worth noting issue was on Windows 10 Enterprise, build 14393.187, so maybe you should test on the same.
My other PCs have a different Windows 10 version - Pro, latest Insider Preview build from last week, and there is no such issue on those.
All are 64-bit edition of Windows 10.

This issue is not new. I have had same 1-2 years ago too, with older GPU-Z versions.

EDIT: And yes, I have Windows 10 UAC enabled and set to defaults. If you are using your Windows PCs with UAC off, you likely cannot reproduce this issue. :)
