A different motherboard can be a reason. Cuda cannot create shared textures for GPUs. Do you have the Resizable Bar enabled?

Yes sir, resizable bar is Enabled.
I have the new high score, (no overclocking or anything like that), however it would be higher if the CU would work.

Any help?

So, same 4090 FE cards from the Sage dual mobo *where CU worked" now on AMD dual 7773x the
CU does not work. Same error as reported. System capabilities , OS. settings, etc are the same, in fact the load is a restored load from prior mobo and or a new load, set up the same, yields same result.

All devices are recognized, appropriately installed, dual GPU set up correctly, dual CPUs set up correctly, Resizable BAR is enabled, 4G parameter correct, IOMMU correct, PCIe at Maximum (4+) etc

....but CU for this app wont go, but CU for other app / endeavors / algorithms does work. On version 1.82 for windows, latest driver (552.12), lean install - no GFE, no bloat, no unwanted background tasks.

No heating issues (air cooled in a SFF case CPU temps range from idle 25C to load 39C, video card temps from 25C to 50C under extreme load), ram temp 31C to 48C) I can't figure it out. I don't think its anything hardware or OS as -

-I was able to get the high score on Gravitymark (I don't overclock) but without CU. Historically CU gave a 2-5% boost.


So I am perplexed, I did all the reasonable and logical troubleshooting. any insight?

System Spec:
2x 4090 RTX Founders Edition
2x AMD 7773x Epyc (128/256 cores), Gigabyte MZ72-HB0 Dual socket motherboard
1 TB RAM DDR4 ECC LRDIMMs 1600W digital power supply
(Data drive) Raid 0 Micron 9300 Max (15.4TB each / 77TB array - overprovisioned to 64TB)
(OS Drive) Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus (8TB). 2x Back up drives Micron 5300
Asus PA32UCG-K monitor, MS Data Center 2022 & Ubuntu, Air cooled, cool temps, SFF case, ultra quiet operation

I have not had CUDA issues with other apps, I was wondering if you could look into possible solutions to resolve the CU issue?

So a lot of things could be going on:

MS updates since your original score
Driver updates/regressions since your original attempt.
Configuration:
HAGS
NVME / SSD drive cache settings
Video Driver caching
OS settings (likely),
so many - from telemetry to background tasks, MS store, etc etc. (all bad things)


and quite significantly: Motherboard BIOS settings (most likely).
Resizable BAR
Memory timings
CPU settings
Bios security settings
Overclock settings (more is gained from correct configuration than any overclock)



Start with the BIOS settings and work your way up to your OS settings

I use this bench to weed out any potential issues on my rig (with no overclocking) you should be able to get a higher score without overclocking, then when all is purring correctly, try your overclock if you need too.

But don't take my word for it, ....go see what obvious differences come to mind between your first and second build
