I'm running an AMD 3200 on an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe with 1.5G RAM and a Sapphire 256 ATI Radeon X800GTO card. I have the latest drivers and current BIOS. I have uninstalled every single program, except Norton, that is on my 2x32G RAID 0 Raptor HD array. I have uninstalled and reinstalled GRAW 3 times.

When I try to launch the game, the GRAW titlebar icon appears, followed by a black screen upon which my cursor and the hourglass are seen and then the screen cycles between my desktop and the black screen once before returning me to my desktop for good. I'm on the verge of opening a vein. Any ideas? :banghead:

Have you downloaded the latest patch? Are there any errors in the event log linked to this game (right click on "My Computer" >Manage> Event Viewer)?

Not until it overheats because the idiots that build them haven't removed the foil on the bottom of the heatsinks! :P

Eureka! This system has run Doom3, Quake4 and F.E.A.R. without a glitch. For GRAW to work, turns out all I needed was an updated NVidia NForce soundcard driver. Jimmy - the insight into the error log was a big help, man. Thanks.

Glad to help... but I'm surprised with myself for forgetting that drivers could cause the problem...!

I had updated my Asus motherboard driver and simply had no clue that the integral NVidia NForce soundcard might need an independent driver update as well. Surprising - to me anyway. Thanks again, friend.:toast:
