I have a GT 630 of 2gb and it after using more than 1GB of VRAM starts to present distortions in games, being impossible to play. I googled it and it looks a lot like the specs of a 1gb gt 630.
I've already installed several different drivers, changed thermal paste and cleaned the pci express contact. nothing resolved now, does anyone have any suggestions? GPU Z:

Can you take it apart ?
VRAM chips and GPU die photos (with focus on text), would be helpful.

VRAM Chips

THE die chip is

the part showing the ''gf xxx xxx xxx'' is scraped off

seems to be a gt 540m chip

Things usually happen with a card that old bud :)

Sounds like a fake card, to be honest. Have you tried benching it to other 630's?

No, it doesn't happen after hitting X amount of vram usage.

630 ain't exactly a gaming card to begin with.

Pull the card apart, get pics of die and ram chips front to back of card please

Doesn't meant that it should have problems like these.
No, but you have to ask yourself, "is it really worth screwing with?", when there are much better cards out there dirt cheap.

This is typical of a 'faked' card.

Sure, why not? It's not like it needs any expensive repairs it seems.

Yup tons of 450 gts here that appear as 1050s, 960s etc.

With the memory above which shows as samsung actually. 2Gibibits per chip is 0.25 GibiBytes. If thrre are only 4 chips on the card then it is 1G, if there are 8 then it is 2G.

From the ram decoding it appears it is 4 banks which to me is 1GB.

Open gpu-z again, click arrow next to uefi check box and attempt to upload the bios to the vga bios collection/database throuhh the program itself, you may be warned that bios is already in database with alink, copy and paste link here.

From bios version number it appears as this.
