Hey everyone ! 2 Hours after updating my GPU BIOS to F11 everything was ok, but when I shut down my PC and decided to turn it on 1 hour later my GPU wasnt displaying anything, Im always getting a black screen.Im letting you know that all the PC parts are NEW. I switched to my integrated graphics card in order to flash my GPU back to F1 but im still getting the same black screen over and over again.I also tried to re-install the drivers but nothing worked.
Before having any problems in the Xtreme Gaming software the bios was displayed as F1, now it says Unknown.
Id really appreciate your help.
Thanks !

How is your monitor connected to your card? DP, HDMI, DVI?

According to the Gigabyte Support Page, below all the download options for some reason:

Please note:
You can only update to a VBIOS version of the same series.
If your VBIOS version is:
F1, it can only be updated with VBIOS versions F2-F9.
F10, it can only be updated with VBIOS versions F11-F19.
F20, it can only be updated with VBIOS versions F21-F29.

If I'm reading this correctly, and your initial VBios was version F1, you should only update to version F9. Not sure what would happen if you flashed a non-supported VBios.

Are you sure your initial vBios wasn't F10?

Yup, im pretty sure it was F1, thats how it was displayed in the Xtreme Gaming Utility and Ive done this update progressively from F1-F2 all the way up to F11beta and the beta driver was displayed in the Xtreme gaming utility as well once I've done it, even after the restart the GPU was working great without any problems.

In the device manager under display adapters, how does it list the card?

Why are you flashing the vBIOS?

Just an FYI, he started a thread at my home site... http://www.overclockers.com/forums/...Please-Help-!-GTX-1070-G1-Gaming-Black-screen

Please see that as a reference so nobody is rehashing the same suggestions over and over again (as some already have been).

@GTX280 - you may want to add that link in the first post, or at least mentioned what you have tried so you aren't starting over from scratch...........

You were last left with a suggestion there to check the cable and adapter you are using.

Well, looking at that Bios list - you shouldn't have flashed after the F2 beta. The F10 isn't designed for your card. Regardless of what your tech issue is - you're learning the really hard way that flashing your video card bios isn't like installing a driver. The initial bios is F1 - it is designed for your card. The F10 is for another version of the GTX1070. Flashing an incorrect bios onto a card can cause serious problems. That you gamed on it for a while may be related to the fact that it ran at incorrect voltages or memory timings and it simply caused a card error (or a corrupted bios). I'd play dumb and see if you can RMA it saying you flashed to the F2 beta but it went all weird.

Don't flash video card bios unless it serves a concrete purpose or you're a wizz with that sort of stuff. First time I flashed a bios was on an original GTX Titan (almost had an anxiety attack).

Yea you're right :( I'm currently trying to install different G1 Gaming F1 Bios files from the techpowerup archive.
@EarthDog The adapter was brand new, i bought it for this GPU because i had no proper connectors as my display is using the old VGA adapter.

i7 + GTX0170 and a monitor that does not have HDMI, DVI or DP ? i suggest you upgrade that next time.
Corect. Dar in momentul asta se pare ca nu pot gasi un fix, am incercat sa revin la stock ROM dar tot black screen am over and over again.
M-as gandi sa returnez placa.
Speak English since this an English forum :)
If your card works you could try to return it, but if that flash failed it might void the warranty so check with the store you brought it from to see if they would accept a return.
Before doing the above you could try to blindly reflash your stock BIOS, never tried that so others might be able to guide you thru it.

Well I'm currently using the Integrated graphics while my GPU is inside "working" tried to flash it with all the ROMS possible its still not working as it should. Im also using a VGA to HDMI display port, can this be an Issue? I bought this 2 days ago in order to get my monitor working with it.

Wait... you just said it was new after we said it at the other site and me here, now you ask if that could be the issue???

Your monitor only has a vga input? Nothing that matches your cards outputs? Try dvi to vga or something different, yes.

Yea.. my monitor only has a vga input, I might have to buy a VGA to DVI adapter then.

Or try it in another monitor. Not sure.. but it's worth it to check at least

Ill just wait for an answer from gigabyte, if their solution wont work ill return the card.

So.. you borked the bios yourself and are going to return it??

Seems ethically sound to me...

Or, most would simply eat their mistake and do the right thing (or at least not blurt it out on a forum for other angels to judge)... but, you keep on keeping on.

Is there any way to see from the serial number or some other identification what the main bios was? (F1 or F10) I have the same black screen problem and have no idea if my bios was F1 or F10.
