Okay I have a few graphics card, so no fault with the motherboard , psu , monitor , PSU etc ( z97 , 24inch, Corsair RM1000i, 16gb ram, windows 10 64bit) , I have tested my system with my RTX 2080ti, that works fine etc.

But my backup card a GTX 1080 will not display any output, if I load up windows using the onboard Intel graphics I can see the card and that the drivers are installed, but when checking via GPUZ (the latest version) the card shows up in the drop down box, it shows the drivers are installed, subvendor info, device id, bus interface, shades and various other information, but most noticeably what is not showing, is the

Memory type shows Unknown (I've checked the ram on the card it shows as Micron on the chips)
memory size as Zero
pixel rate Unknown
texture fillrate Unknown
memory size zero
bandwidth unknown
GPU clock 0mhz
default clock 0Mhz
Memory 0 Mhz

I have downloaded and flashed successfully using NVFLASH (64bit version) the correct bios from techpowerup database and I have also a GTX 1080 Founders edition rom which clearly stated as using "Micron memory" but no joy after a reboot, same information shown.

I have tried reinstalling the drivers and rebooting but that did not make any difference.

Any help and advice welcome

reinstall gpu-z , or reinstall your drivers then restart your pc

All these fields are calculated from either GPU or memory clock. If these are 0, the connected fields are 0 as well.

I'm not sure why the NVIDIA driver fails reporting clocks on very few systems.

Do you have Intel iGPU multi-GPU enabled or is the NVIDIA card the primary card and the only one with monitor connected?

Hi, the system is a z97 motherboard, yes the gpu is set as primary but no display from the graphics card, as detailed above the figures show when booting with the Intel display, then picking the card via gpuz for the information on the card.

I have reflashed the card successfully, but still no display output.

inspect the card to see if the memory is there.

Oh I missed the card doesn't show output part. Does it work in another pc?

Sounds like a faulty GTX1080 - since you can get it recognised, try a BIOS flash?

I have reflashed it successfully, but still no output on the card, it isn't an issue with my pc as numerous other graphics cards have been tested in the PC and all work fine.

Do you see any errors, warnings or other messages in device manager or event log?

I must admit I've not tested the card in a little while, but from memory the card showed in device manager with no red crosses, but I did not check the event log, how and what would I be looking for in the event log?

check out this tutorial, it might help
