Hello everyone, I have been thinking some time.. to get either of these, but it's hard so, that's why I'm asking you guys which one would be a better pick.
I'm going to video edit, render and ( some gaming).
Softwares such as : After Effects, Cinema4D , Photoshop, ( some more Adobe softwares) , Sony Vegas [ etc ]
Res:1440p, Cuda vs OpenCL?

For gaming, R9 390 would be the best option IMHO because its better stock and even in the OC world at its typical OC it beast the GTX 970 at its typical OC (Bear in mind that luck of the draw plays into this) and it has way more VRAM (3.5gb high speed + 512mb lowspeed on GTX 970 vs 8gb High speed on R9 390).

As for the rest, well Cuda has the edge in most of those. For instance in Adobe there are some effects that are not boosted by OpenCL that are boosted by Cuda. But even so, a better CPU makes more difference than the GPU's as neither of these cards are meant for the professional programs and don't really boost much unless your CPU is very lacking.

That's a quick video showing some comparisons. My advice would be the 390 but that's my opinion in your situation. But I believe between both your not going to see much of a difference in anything you do.

I'm planning to render and edit more than gaming
Ah ok, well like I said before a better processor is worth it more than the video card as in many instances neither boost the performance as much. Its going to be the same rendering 1080p as it will 1440p in terms of performance differences, its just going to take longer. I've edited using Adobe CS6 Premiere Pro (Which didn't support AMD GPU's) and recently upgraded to the Cloud Premiere Pro and for me the processor makes the time quicker than using the GPU's to boost (Which its supposedly it will do multi-gpu boosting with OpenCl). My friend recently bought a GTX 980ti to replace his ageing GTX 670 and he didn't get much of a boost in performance in Adobe, only in gaming (He streams/records for twitch/youtube). He recently invested in a 5820k and overclocked it which gave him a much huger boost in performance while editing (Used to be on a i5 3570k). We both use Cloud Premiere for our editing purposes. Though he had to edit a file to get the Adobe Premiere Pro engine to recognize his card for Cuda boosting as it only likes actual professional cards stock (Quaddro cards).

OpenCL and Cuda are both supported on those lists so its really a coin toss which will benefit you more. I would say the 390 is still my recommended choice for your purposes just because from what I have seen myself, the GPU boosting is very minimal unless you invest in a true professional card and the OpenCL support on many of those programs is slightly ahead or equal to the Cuda with the cards we are comparing.

Photoshop has a few effects that are only able to be boosted by Cuda but most are both OpenCL and Cuda at similar performances. Premiere Pro has to be edited to allow non-professional cards to run it on the Cuda side. Vegas seems to benefit more from CPU's but gave a slight edge to OpenCl. Cinema4D is not something I have much experience with unfortunately so I cannot say much other than what I read.
