so i saw a sale at ncix and the corsair H50 at a cheap price, 40cad....i decided to buy it and see how it goes with my current system....do you think it will outperform my true? what mods can i do to my h50? like dual fans or better/quieter fan? any inputs are welcomed...thanks:rockout:

It will probably give you alittle better temps, but not enough over the TRUE to justify the price

If you can afford the H50 then go for it, it won't outperform the TRUE that much but you'll have alot more room in your case and a better looking cooler overall.

it will also be much silent :P if this "true" is anything like Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme you listed in system spec.

i am using the H50 and whatever the overclock an voltage i never go higher then 60 on my quad,....

Ah yes to share my results on sandy bridge, so far @4.5ghz with 1.380 volts I don't go over 72 D/Celsius

Umm, the H50 is clearly the louder of the two. The True has no pump noise. I actually just replaced my lapped true with an H50 and performance was about the same, within a couple of degrees.

The H50 is a nice space saver and gives you the option to pump the heat directly out of your case which is nice.
