Alright it's been about 5 years since I have had to buy new drives. And I think the time has come.
I've got two 160gb's that are starting to CRANK away loudly as well as a 260GB that's clunking. Sounds like someones banging on the inside of my case.
I was going to go the Seagate route, but the firmware issue's they are having are making me a tad wary. Unless there's an update on this issues and it has been remedied.
Recommendations between the two?
Samsung F1? (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152102)
Or WD Black 1TB (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284)
I've always had good luck with WD, but the Samsung's are foreign lands for me.
Any other input is welcome.
