HD4890 - Getting default fan behaviour with RBE'd bios?

Hello,

so I want to modify (specifically downclock+undervolt) my Sapphire hd4890 (reference cooler) using RBE 1.25.
Changing the clocks seems to work, however the fan speed behavior after flashing is vastly different from what is is with the default bios, even when not changing anything in "Fan settings".

With the stock bios, the card idles at about 60°C with the fan at ~25% speed, going up to about 35-40% speed under load (75-80°C).
The default transfer function from RBE results in 40% fan speed already in idle, which is already pretty annoying sound-wise.
(I wonder if the fan can actually go up to 100% with the stock bios, as I've never seen it pass 50% even at 90°C+).

So is there any way to retain the original fan behavior while modding the clocks? (If not I might use the speed LUT and guess some values).

Also, is it safe to change (lower) the voltage registers?

Could you post your modded and orginal vga bios? About the voltage registers, use them only for overvolting. When undervolting goes wrong, you must debrick your card.

maybe you should sell the card and downgrade?

5750 would do just fine.
