Hey guys.

I dont know much about monitors so I am wondering how I can get the best out of it.

I have this monitor:
http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/...=monitors&subtype=lcd&model_cd=LS22PEBSFV/XAA

From what I see..it has HDCP support..Do I need anything special to use HDCP?? Should I buy a DVI-D to DVI-D cable for it??

Do I need to buy some sort of DVI to HDCP cable or something??

Could someone please point me in the right direction before I say any more stupid things! thanks.

I just looked at the manual online, looks like it came with the DVI-D cable you need....

it did?????????? ohh....

oh your right man!! ty!

How do I use it???
do I use the DVI to VGA cable and DVi to DVI cable??? or just use DVI to DVI???

What type of connector is on your Graphics card? DVI or VGA? If it's a VGA Graphics card, then you can use the DVI to DVI cable with an adapter...or simply use a DVI to VGA. If its a DVI GPU, then use a DVI-DVI cable.

I have the 8800GTS 640mb...would that be DVI to DVI?

DO I need to turn the system off when I connect the DVI cable??? or do I keep it on to make it work?

You're best off plugging your monitor cable in when your system is off so that you have a screen to work with :). But plugging/unplugging said cables while the computer is on should not damage your equipment. The connectors on the rear of your GTS should be DVI (usually the longer/white connectors with an I shaped pin on one side and the remaining set of squared pins on the other).
