hi people so i use a aoc 27g2 1440hz monitor and i have used it for almost 2 years now . today i turned the monitor on to see white lines going across the screen and it stops responding

if i changed it off 144hz back to 120hz they lines and problems go away

i have run it at native resolution 144hz since the say i got it with little issues. thought g sync as messing up at one point but was the games i was playing at time

would you say GPU issues or monitor issue from whats described photos attracted are on 144hz settings

still waiting to buy a new GPU but now thinking i wont if monitor is going to die as might need to replace it . tipically it happen just as warranty runs out haha meh

lets start by process of elimination before you spend a ton of money,
maybe the ports are dirty and or maybe the cables are loose?
have you tried using different cables?
if you have tried the solutions above then look at your warranty rights, almost 2 years is within reasonable fixing period
some countries offer 2 years warranty on certain products...

i did ddu and re installed gpu driver and changed display port cable before posting here .
i dont think its on the pc side as i dont see fps loss or anything when playing game with it set to 120hz but in game at 144hz i dont have lines on the screen . only on windows desktop

If you can, try another cable, especially if you're using DP. Some cables can be fussy and seemingly degrade over time, developing problems after working fine for a long time. In any case, it would remove one of the variables.

well i took the gpu out to look at it and then put it back in and looks like that fixed it . what is odd as it hasn't been out the pci slot in a good year .

You had to disconnect the DP/HDMI cable, right?
