Most of all hello everyone and welcome me to this forum :D but im a professional you know ;p

Anyway i need help thats the point im here and google existed i use google to help me out and never post threads but i can't find anyway to resolve this problem ...

Maybe im the only me who has this problem ...

This computer is low spec one ... but still good and can play many games but the problem is ... i wanted to install a better memory and that can't do the POST =/

No screen on no beep so no post ...
SPECS:
MOBO: P5KPL-AM IN/ROEM/SE
CPU: INTEL PENTIUM DUAL-CORE E2260 1.80GHZ
RAM: KINGSTON 1GB 400MHZ x2 (CPU ID say 333.mhz but its 400mhz)
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GEFORCE GT220
HDD IDE X2
HDD SATA X1
No CD/DVD-rom coz i use pen to install windows =)
well PSU is 480w 15A/16A

so if i use this setup i can use the computer no problem ... but when i use this new ones i have and working then it does that problem =/
G-Skill F2-6400CL4D-2GBHK ddr2 1gb 800mhz x2 (CL4-4-3-5)

So what i think is ... or the PSU or the mobo can't support lol but the manual it say exactly that memory ram that is compatible =P

But new suggestions are always good welcome =D

Ofc im not professional but i want to repair/improve the computer

Please help me ^^

Hi, welcome on TPU.

As you can see, not many Gskill modules qualified for Asus QVL programm :

Still you are perfectly within the specs, nothing wrong with your RAM modules

Sometimes the graphic card is slightly misseated in the PCI-E slot, please double check the front and back of the slot.

i removed the graphic card but nothing changed ... anyway the thing is ... when i put the g skill the computer does that but if i put the other memory i had it runs perfectly ...

And this occurs too i forgot to mention... when i put the g-skill and power on the computer occurs that but when i long press the power button it turn off but after 3 seconds it power on again ... what is that? o.o? and that only occurs with g-skill memory and that memory is working for sure ...it was tested at front of me =P

Thx for you help ^^ and the nvidia video card is well seatted ... but it could be the problem xD

well i found a sollution o.o? maybe ... i just removed the 4 pins of the motherboard (my PSU has the extension for motherboard 4 pins aside not together) and with the cpu 4 pins too ... but only 1 memory coz 2 it doesn't power on

Edit: Well i did it with the 2 g-skill ... idk why but its hard for him to power on =/ i just pull out the 4-pins and power on pc ... when i tryed to put the second it doesn't power on =/ so i tryed with the 4 pins pulled in =/ but nothign happens ... i put 1 g-skill 1 kingston and it worked but then i turn off the computer and then i put the 2 g-skills ... but doidn't work ... so i was thinking theram was not working so i tryed again and again with 2 g-skills with or without 4 pins then it turned on o.o and it worked but idk what is that ... can some1 explain ? with the 4 pins it doesn't work but the 4 pins work well with the kingstons... i really don't understand =/ incompatibility ? with? psu working bad? explain to me please ^^

EDIT:: btw ... ddr2 = double data rate so in CPUID it tells me 400mhz and at g-skill say 800mhz ... is that correct? ddr so 400x2=800 mhz ? ou something diferent? if so then the kingston was 333mhz so was 666mhz ?or 667mhz as appear in many memories?

That's very confusing indeed.

I was going to suggest to try and flash the bios to improve RAM support, but there's only one bios available, and it adresses only minor fan speed concerns. Not worth the trouble upgrading....

Please check DDR2's wikipedia for an in-dephts understanding.

With data being transferred 64 bits at a time, DDR2 SDRAM gives a transfer rate of (memory clock rate) × 2 (for bus clock multiplier) × 2 (for dual rate) × 64 (number of bits transferred) / 8 (number of bits/byte).

64bits it means the Mobo right ? not the OS ... or not?

I think the problem may be with the memory timings
Asus says it wants Cas 5 and you are using memory with tighter timings (Cas 4) G-Skill F2-6400CL4D-2GBHK ddr2 1gb 800mhz x2 (CL4-4-3-5) you may be able to change this in the BIOS.

64bit is the CPU, Memory Amt over 4GB and OS

the part of CL timing i can't change ... well i acn but i can only put 4-4-3-9 ... not less ... 9~15 is the value ...
yes 64bits i think my cpu is 64bits ... memory is just 2gb and thats why i use OS 32bits ... so the memory is not working properly?

To support those timings you may have to play with the voltages a bit, but i'm not into overclocking, so someone else with more experience can possibly help.

overclocking in this board i think is not possible ...

the overclock has Manual and Profiles ... the manual is some value it goes from 200~XXX i don't remmeber more ... and the profiles gives me 5% OC~30%OC by 5 in 5 times
^^ tyvm =D
