help me find a CHEAP graphics card!

What resolution are you playing at? And yes, that 6770 IS a steal. If those are the games you're playing you don't need a crazy card, so I'd actually go for that.

well i recently upped my res to 1920x1080 while still using my hd 5450 and i get ~20 fps on gw2 (it does drop to about 10-15 though)

i normally tend to stick to the lowest possible resolution possible though just to get the most out of my fps

do you think the 6770 will deliver a solid 60 fps at 1920x1080 at lowest? because quite frankly, that's all i'm after...

I'd imagine so, the HD6770 is enormously faster than a HD5450. As someone who has used a HD5770 and a HD5450, the difference is night and day. And the HD6770 will be faster still :toast:

thanks! not even going to hesitate at that price then :)

No it won't as the 6770 is just a rebranded 5770. ;)

But yes I would get that card as quickly as possible. Great deal.

Frick is right here. 5770/6770 performances are too close together to call an "upgrade"

you must have missed it but i was looking for an upgrade from my 5450, he was just talking about how much of a difference a 5770 was compared to a 5450 so a 6770 will be just as good (if not slightly better i'd imagine)

No too close together to call it. The 6770 uses the exact same GPU as the 5770, it was only re-branded by AMD.

5770 or 6770 will be like comparing a bicycle to a superbike.

i dont even call the 5450 and the likes of that a graphics card, those are more justly termed as Display adapters :p

What? 5770 to 6770 would be like comparing a Huffy Bicycle to a Huffy Bicycle. They're the SAME GPU, same card, just by a different name.

hes comparing them to the 5450 not comparing the 5770 to the 6770
