Howdy!
So at the moment I am using the Hifiman Edition XS and it's hooked up to my IFI Zen Dac V2 and I really do love this setup! No complaints.
I was just going through a few posts on Reddit and other audio sites and I keep hearing how hard they are to drive.. Not volume wise.. but power.. to make them shine and get the most out of them!
I have even seen some mention since these cans are 18Ohms and sensitivity at 92.. not that I understand this... but,.. stating that they require over 1W of power to bring them out.
This sounds a bit mad... but.,.. if this is true then heck! I want to buy an amp and just connect it up to my setup as it is and continue to benefit from the Burr Brown DAC which I love in the Ifi system but just get more power and make them sound better! I really don't think this is possible as they sound so good already but it does peak my interest right now I must admit!
I use Tidal for music listening and boy does music sound good here!
I obviously GAME big time also!
Would anyone here know much about this sort of thing and potentially recommend some amps for these headphones??
More than likely I am going to use Amazon but Hifihut and Thomann or other sources are welcome!
Budget of 400 Euro - 350 Pounds would be what I am willing to spend otherwise it'll end up costing more than the headphones! no thanks!
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!
