I bought multiple Signal King products from Amazon, specifically these:
High Power Signal King 48DBI USB Wireless Adaptor Antenna 54Mbps and
HIGH-POWER LONG RANGE AND HIGH SENSITIVITY CLIPPER B/G/N USB ADAPTER 950WN

I don't have any complaints--they really do get amazing reception. But I don't get the 48 dbi claim. It is way, way higher than any other company claims (although Signal King actually has another product they say is 80 dbi). The next highest claim I am seeing from anyone else is 20 dbi.

Is it BS, or legit?

The antennas of the black one are standard 6 dbi, I think 1 tx and 1 rx. So where is the 48 dbi coming from?

Its a directional antenna so it has high gain in certain directions and nothing in the others.
