Help Needed with 100% SSD Usage and PC Stuttering

Hello everyone,
I’m running into a frustrating issue with my computer: my Task Manager consistently shows my SSD running at 100% usage, and as a result, my PC is stuttering heavily during everyday tasks. I’ve already tried a simple restart, but the problem persists. I’m curious if anyone has experienced this before and could offer troubleshooting tips. Could it be due to outdated firmware, heavy background processes, or perhaps even a hardware issue with the drive itself?

Any insights, diagnostic steps, or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

In the tab with processes is something abnormal with high drive usage?
What windows You've got?, when it started, maybe there was some actualization or some sites where suspicious?
But 47 seconds of response time WOW.
Ps have You checked smart of this drive?

I couldn't see anything abnormal with the process, even when all the process disk usage is about 25-45%, the SSD on the performance tab still shows 100% usage.
I'm on Windows 11 24H2, and it became 100% usage even when I started to boot into Windows. When I check SMART with HD Sentinel the result are good but on CrystalDiskInfo it was very bad

might be a dying drive. Download CrystalDiskInfo and look for CRC errors (if the SATA Cable is damaged) or for uncorrectable error.
IND-S325S/240G spits out some super sketchy old chinese crap drive.

buy yourself a proper branded SSD for 50 bucks and throw this one away.

+1 for the above. Alternatively, if you have just installed Windows, there is the slight possibility its just temporary as the OS is doing stuff post-install. It should still not be as noticeable as this though.

Can You boot to the emergency mode and check if the problem persists?.
Ps if You scroll down in crystal disc, what is the error for the poor health of the ssd?

Here is the other part of the CrystalDiskinfo data
Could you instruct me to boot to emergency mode?

Short: get a proper drive for C: or live with the limitations.

I had many decent SATA -SSDs in the 120 or 128GB size. I wanted to reuse them years ago with my new Ryzen 5800X.

The performance impact was huge for a SATA SSD for C: in windows 10 pro in comparison with e.g. a budget low value, entry Crucial p5plus in the pcie 3.0 slot on a B550 mainboard.

-- I suspect a drive limitation. I had before a refurbished notebook with SATA SSD - kinds slow. My current refurbished notebook only has M2 nvme wiht pcie 3.0 - a very slow and sluggish oem samsung one.

Seems to be indilinx drive, which is an unkown brand to myself: ind-s3225s/240g

As you use windows 11 pro 24h2, you should have officially decent hardware, which should have several m2 nvme slots. You may get a proper m2 nvme with dram. E.g. cheap crucial p5 plus or more costly KC3000 or similar drive. // SATA SSDS in my experience are not suitable for newer laptops and desktop computers with e.g. ryzen 5800x

Smart only works when Smart values are properly implemented and properly read out. I highly doubt SMART makes any sense for certain drives and brands.

I miss in the hole topic the question for the hole computer specs. It seems there are several SATA based drives. I suspect a very old platform which seems to be at least 6 years old.
topic poster in title writes lag but no one really asks for all the parts in this particular computer. My previous refurbished 8000 intel processor notebook was very sluggish with windows 11 pro and sata ssd. Windows 11 pro is very demanding.
