Hello

I wanted to ask for help to make oc to my memories are 4 sticks F4-4000c18-gtzr Part number K4A8G085WB-BCPB

I am not able to pass Memtest to more than 800% no adjustment of more than 4000mhz with CL18 as it comes from origin.

Can you help me with the times? primary? secondary? I am open to collaborate with all the information you need, I give you screenshots of each thing!

I'm already lost and no matter how much I read and read and I see that they always speak well of B-die, I feel that my memory is absolutely shit, without even being able to press them "a little" or 4200 or 4266 ...!

Someone who understands RAMS?

What is your Cache Ratio? VCCIO and VCCSA voltages as well, also what is your DRAM voltage and motherboard model? If you fill out system specs it will help.

Ram OC is tricky because Core and Cache overclocks can affect stability massively. Also you might just have an Auto timing that is being set too tight for 4200/4500 and causing it to be unstable.

Hi,
Pick up asrock memory configurator utility and lets see what it shows timings it's using
z490 look for version 4.0.3

Also as said show what voltages hwinfo sensors only is recording after tests you can complete.

here goes, sorry I forgot to put all the info Complete bios, at least with the most relevant! Mother formula XII

please tell me if it looks good!

Hi,
Which beta bios are you using ?
Formula with four sticks has been pretty weird but latest beta might be best

Bios settings does not show what is used in the os

Also using +300 on memory and increasing frequency doesn't work all the time either.

when you're trying to stabilize ram drop your ring - 4800mhz on ring is usually unstable for heavy loads, and will feign stability. Run 20 rounds of Intel Burn Test (linpack) on standard, those squeal about unstable cache right away.

Usually unstable cache will manifest as unstable ram, and will come out after a random amount (usually after hours and hours) of memtest or random crashes/reboots.

Hi,
tRFC looks high
Set it lower say 350 if possible

But again reset additional memory to 100% not +300% when going to a higher frequency
Once you find a stable with 100% then increase it.

Can u pass IBT at stock ram settings?

A 100MHZ OC with loosened timings and additional volts from 1.35 to 1.45 being unstable is unlikely, my bet is you're unstable at stock.

Hi,
Here's some frequency/ timings to try
XMP profile 2
Maximum tweak 1

Esental-5.2GHz-5.0GHz-Cache-1.43V(1.279v)_350kHz_LLC5_4266-17-17-17-37-320-2T_Sek.png

Thankkss!!
thank you I will try your times!

In stock it is completely stable! can be thrown all night by doing memtestPro at levels of 4000% or more
Hi,
Watch your dimm temperatures too
You can get errors after 45c otherwise give it more dimm voltage

Also notice 0606 beta bios ;)

Hi,
Interesting I downloaded a 3006 bios too for my apex never used it though think it was off asus website which seems to be down for updates.

before looking for some software to change the times in windows and not have to be entering bios!

I hang a screenshot of now with the settings without changing anything

Two things. Do whatever you need to to keep ram temperatures under 40c.

Increase voltage as you need it, up to 1.7v max if you're sure it's B die. This has been demonstrated safe on properly cooled B die over a period of years.

B die scales with voltage and temperature, better at higher voltage, worse with higher temperature. Increase one, decrease other, profit.

What's been said about ring frequency is also true.

please do not put these values in bios I get lost.

Can you put a screenshot of the bios of how they should go ???

Can anyone help me out? to configure the blue boxes in the bios asus?

I am not clear about putting the numbers where they correspond and I can't start! I need a screenshot of the bios to see where each new one goes,

Hi,
I do all edits in bios
Some settings may not stick seeing training takes over so utility in windows won't change that
Best I can say is switch maximus tweak to 2 instead of 1
Have you tried some of the presets yet ?

but memory tweak 2 is worse right?

I need a screenshot of the bios of the blue box that I mark in your bios to see how to put the values since I don't know how they go.
I mess. and anything you put in that box does not turn on the pc.
Try the presets (Without the blue box) because I can't put it on and the computer turns on but it didn't pass even 20% of Memtestpro that is already giving errors.

Do you think that seeing the theme, it would compensate me to change them for 2 packs of these? F4-4600C18D-16GTRG

Hi,
Two of those kits well they were never tested together so no guarantees they will do rated speed
Memory presets go from basic 3466 through 4600 for samsung b-die actually has 2 4000mhz one at 2.0v lol like 4600 has 2.0v but they both are for 2x8gb set not 4x8 it shows 1.45v for it's 4000mhz
Bottom line 4x8 set if it is a four stick set and not 2-2x8 kits "is it" ? are tougher to oc.

800% is pretty good so go back to where you were after clearing cmos and just lower 300% additional dram performance down to 100% and increase frequency to 4266 and get it stable first.

okay!

I understand you say go up to lower the memtest percentage, right? up to over 200% or so to go safe?
I would greatly appreciate it if you put a photo of your bios in the blue box, please do not clarify with those times and I see that it helps a lot to latency

Hi,
No I was saying your 800% pass was good not bad
Going 800% takes a long time so testing is dragged on forever

I personally haven't seen enough performance jump to go past 4000mhz atm plus I switched to a apex don't believe that is going to be any help to you
Asus bios is just a work in progress and I just got tiered of messing with different beta bios so I stuck with 0606 and let the bios mature for a while.
Looking at the rog forum I posted to there hasn't been very many updates lately by shamino guess he's busy with amd memory stuff ?

no idea, so what do i do?

step of buying the 2 kits 4600 cl18? if it will be the same ...

It makes me angry because having b-die memories and I already tell him not being able to adjust ANYTHING puts me in a bad mood.
I would like to learn the subject of the blue box, I saw that it gave very good latency results but I am not able to put any number, it does not directly recognize the memory and I stay in the start post
I will try to return to 4100 ,,,

and I can not find any photo of bios asus on that screen to see how to set the numbers because I set it with rank0 A / B DIMM 0 DIMM1 ... sorry it's so heavy but if you could pass me a screen of your bios at that point It would help to understand how it is reflected later on the ASrock Timmings screen

at 4200 it is impossible to stabilize it in memtest it gives me failure at the moment!

Out of curiosity I left the vccsa and the vccio in automatic to see what voltages it put in, and in vccsa it puts 1.56v hahaha what a madness .... reboot and out! but I do not know how it asks me for that voltage for 4200 ... in automatic, if nobody checks anything that voltage is very high

what do you think?
But I don't think I can get it, I'm testing the stability tonight I'll leave memtest ...
only 100 and a few mhz more :( and some settings ... how are the values? is it worth it? are they bad for that speed? what average ram speed would equal without adjusting times in a normal module?

fit something else! I think that going from here ...
