I bought a pctv 800e usb card for my computer today and installed the software for the TVCenter Pro and the settings.

When I try to launch the TVCenter Pro I get the error message PMCLoader.exe has stopped working, and this message, ".NET Framework 2.0 is not installed. Please install .NET Framework 2.0!"

After that, I tried installing .NET Framework 2.0 for 64-bit vista, still no luck. I went online and found some 64-bit drivers on Pinnacle's website that are in beta, these drivers didn't help the problem.

I was looking on the Pinnacle forums and other people are having the exact same problem:

Obviously the card is having problems with 64-bit even though it says it works with Vista, I don't know what to do. Can anyone please help?

EDIT: When I try installing framework 2.0 Windows says I already have it installed.

Have you gone to the windows update site and downloaded all the updates for .net framework 2.0?

leme know if media center intermediately stutters thats the problem i have with my happauge pvr 150

Yeah I've got all of the updates for everything except all of the language packs... There was a solution on the Pinnacle website that I looked at today. It told me to download an older verison of the software (the confirmed this wasn't a patch, just a temp fix) and I still got the same message.

With windows media center it keeps looking for the anntena not the cable jack for my pctv; how do I change windows media center to look for the cable jack?

Anyone ever find a solution to the problem? I just got the pctv 800e today only to find out that 64-bit vista made it angry.

Well, Pinnacle doesn't seem to make any effort any supporting 64-bit Vista... I have yet to find a solution. The only thing i've been doing is using the antenna getting like 4 channels in WMC.

That is just great. Looks like I will be making a trip back to BestBuy. I hate returning stuff.

Yeah, I'm thinking I will return mine. I just hope they don't get pissy because it's opened.

They can get over it. The package says vista compatible and that is only half true.

If you're returning that one you might try a TV tuner with an ATI chipset. Mine works with Vista 64-bit.
