Ran chkdsk /f /r and got that message. How do I fix this?

Non boot drive. It a 1TB internal drive used to store movies, photos, and files.

i remember a post on another forum where it was a file system error corrected by defragging...
give that a try ;)

(worst case scenario the secondary boot sector is corrupted and you need to format and re-install.. but give the defragger a chance first to see if that fixes it)

Defrag did nothing. Looks like I have to find another hard drive to move my files into, then format this one..

Well its working fine, just has this stupid little error. I'm in no hurry to fix it.

cool yeah if its a storage drive i wouldnt worry to much myself .... but what caused the error could be sinister... as long as what youre storing isnt that important id say take your time ;)
