Is this screen here because I messed with the BIOs of my computer or because I messed with the msconfig of my computer? I have to keep pressing F1 every time I restart my computer.

MSconfig is to change configuration of your windows startup settings... it will have no effect on the initial bootup of your pc before it loads windows.

This is a setting in your bios.

I think its becuase your bios is looking for your floppy drive...
Disable your floppy drive in the bios and it should go away ;)

If you don't have a floppy, turn off the floppy controller (in BIOS).

There should also be a screen listing your drives, most of the time you'll also see an "A:" and "B:" drive selection.. make sure it says None, not 1.44MB Floppy or anything else.

go into your bios, go to advanced bios options and then go to boot sequence, and then at the bottom theres a thing that says floopy seek, disable that and you wont get that screen

I'll get there after I test my CPU.

its a stupid annoying feature on award bios based boards with floppy abilities, it pisses me off too, but its how i find out my bios got cleared.

Bunch O' gainess!

It worked. Thanks again guys!

hey no problem! glad to help
glad to see that the problems out of the way, and now you can boot in peace :) :toast:

True dat! Hey, my friend altered my boot for me to where it didn't show the windowsxp logo, it just showed a whole bunch of letter & #'s & /'s. Whats up with that and why did he do it. Is it faster, it seemed a bit faster.

xp is bloated lol, might be faster because your friend tweaked it up and all.

windows 2000 is my favorite os because its very clean and not very bloated
