Win11 update (here: last patch-tuesday) resets 3rd-party software to test mode only.
Win11 24H2 pro for WS.
All tinkering done as administrator.
I now can enter the password corresponding to the software´s ID-number for this installation... but to no avail.
No message like "wrong password", "password refused" etc.
Tried an older image of Win11 where I had said software installed - but here not activated via paid password - installed Windows updates and then entered the password: same result as above.
Maybe the software doesn´t like the higher version-number of Win11 after OS update vs. Win11 vers.-no at the time of 3rd-party software installation ?
Has anyone a tip or trick how to solve this problem before I contact the software vendor?

(What works is: a new software installation. Therefore a newly generated ID-number and then activation via requested new corresponding password for this ID-number.
Until the next pending severe Windows update.
Which sucks in the long run.--- So far, no solution like dongle available.)
