You can use the fan mounts that come stock on the swing out door, then just attach your side fans directly the the swing out door with screws. It's what I do to get an extra fan on the front of my 830 Evo (Identical except for a different door).

Im pretty sure the HDD cage is the only way (at least for my case)
Unless yours came with some sort of special mounting mechanism.

Damn, my camera is broken. Do you know the tooless fan mounts on the side door? You know, the black things that the fan snaps into. You can use them in the front of the case instead. They take up 3 slots, and snap right into place, taking the place of 3 of the standard slot covers.

Oh yes now I understand. And they just clip in. I never thought about that lol..
Btw, on the topic of those tooless fan mounts, do you find that the top fan tends to vibrate sometimes within the mount?

willie gave me the correct answer. using those side mounts and putting them in the front works great.

Yeah, I just used a little electrical tape to make it a tighter fit.

As a side note: I actually prefer the looks of the fan mounts, as opposed to the slot covers. Looks a little cleaner, imo.
