Hey guys, I'd like some help to increase my current FPS in crysis 2...

I've got 2x6950... most of the time I get 60 FPS... But everything in the game feels laggy and slow since I patched the game to 1.9 with high res and dx11 upgrades...

Something tells me the game would run fine if I could disable dof and ssao... i don't even know if there's any AA in this game...

Can anyone (someone who knows a lot about crysis 2) help me increase my performance and give me some advise as to the autoexec.cfg settings I should implement ???

is the lag in single player or multiplayer? did you update to the latest drivers and Cat. profiles? looks like they just posted some new ones.

i usually never say this, but try turning of vsync... sometimes it creates mouse lag (esp in Dead Space)

as for settings, try playing with the different settings for the DX11 stuff. try overriding any AA/AF settings using the driver control panel

single player, I do have to update my drivers to 11.7 or the beta 11.8...

But I still have 11.6 which is quite recent... Nevertheless, my feeling is it has to do with dx11 new features...

Every single PC game I've played up to now that features dx11 stuff like dof, tessalation, ssao and the like often kills the FPS really bad... I usually see a considerable performance boost when I turn off stuff like dof or ssao sometimes even bloom...

Now, I'm not sure as to how to do this using the autoexec.cfg ... Well, I'd find the commands, but I hear some commands run into conlifct with the latest dx11 patch... causing loads of errors... It's true V-Sync often causes Mouse lag, I've experienced this in a lot of games lately...

especially when you're in a place where the FPS would go to 200 FPS if it wasn't for v-sync... I can't wait for some new technique or technology to replace both solutions gamers have used up to now, being either v-sync on or off...

because both suck! lolzz So yeah, if any of you cracks know how to switch stuff like dof and ssao, I JUST KNOW that THIS STUFF kills PC games FPS all the freakin time...

When I turned it off in the witcher 2, everything was 60fps with v-sync on all the time... same for Dragon age 2 and metro 2033...
