im upgrading from a dell st2420l monitor (click for specs here)
my only "strict" requirements:
-at least 1 HDMI port
-can pivot to a vertical position
-IPS panel
-at least 1080p, though i do prefer to upgrade reso to something higher at least
-physical buttons, none of that capacitive stuff
-23"-25" (any higher is "too big" for my taste)
based on my filters, i came across this guy:
ASUS PA248Q
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236287
what do you guys think? can anybody who has experience with this monitor (either directly or second-hand) chime in? likes/dislikes? pros/cons?
i'm not a intense gamer so things like faster response time, higher refresh rate doesn't really concern me. i just want a pretty screen that has accurate colors.
im well aware of all the ebay and korean monitor hype, but honestly im worried about after-purchase support and warranty and the potential hassle and costs. at least newegg/asus is US based.
