Hi all,
i got a big problem
At the moment my xfx 6800 le display is really messed up.

Graphics is really distorted, at bootup the text is smeared out, unclear and utterly unreadible.
Iv tried flashing the bios with nvflash but im not sure that anything is being flashed as i cant see anything readible. Iv tried putting the card into another pc but it shows the same graphics corruption. Iv tried with basic configuration, only motherboard, vid card and mem inserted.

1)
Is it possible to use the xfx in agp slot and a pci video card in a pci slot and connect the monitor to the pci vid card so that i can actually see whats happening on screen?
2) Is it possible to view/edit the xfx bios settings like agp voltage/cpu settings/mem settings in dos? Or is this only possible in windows using riva tuner? In the motherboards bios settings what should agp voltage and other settings be for this card?

3) Anyone have the default bios file for this card?

Since im not at home right now i cant supply my motherboard info and other settings.

If anyone has some suggestions or links to were i can check for solutions its very much appreciated.

When did you start having these problems?
It is possible to view and edit video card bios in dos with this software I believe NVFlash
You'll want to get the most reasent version of the software.
Can anyone find the howto for this software? I can't find it thanx.

Sorry for the late reply, busy with work.

Well problems started 1-2 months ago using my k7n delta 2 ms6570e motherboard + athlon xp 1700.
Turning on pc gave sometimes no picture,no video signal. Turning it on the next day no problems. Changed several things to resolve the problem like using other powersupply, changing ddr's etc but no luck. I thought it was the 6800 so tried a simple pci card. Same thing no signal.
So i concluded it had to be the mb so i ordered a pci/agp mb + athlon xp 64 3.5Ghz processor.
When it arrived i assembled everything and i did get a signal, but really distorted in windows.
I thought the problem with bad graphics were the old mb drivers since i didnt reinstall. I wanted to get into windows to start backing up my data and then do a clean install.

The graphics corruption went from bad to worse so i turned pc of and after some days tried with another card. Then i got same problem -> no signal. I wasnt so happy about that seeing as the cpu and mb were new.

To make a long story short, my old mb works again with a geforce 2/4mmx , my new mb i send back to see if it could be fixed and im trying to see if i can get the 6800xfx up and running again. Since i spend 200-250 euros already im not very pleased with the idea of buying a new gaming video card for the same amount.

On the new mb there was a warning not to use a old 3.3v agp card i think but since the 6800 isnt so old that shouldnt give any problems. In the msi 6570 mb the minimum agp voltage that i can select is 1.5v.

Does anyone know what voltage the xfx 6800 should be running on and what bios settings i should turn off/on (agp8x,.. etc). And does anyone have exp with using a agp and pci vid card at same time ? Id like to be able to use a pci vid card on my monitor while using nvflash to flash the 6800 because now im not able to see anything at all when i try to flash the agp card.
