As i cannot afford to import some TANNOY speakers to America i kinda been wondering what to get.

Requirements would be

wall mountable
4-8ohm preferred
Ported
Tight bass ( not to tight but controlled )
Cloth type tweeter preferred
Wooden
traditional style speakers so no funny shaped shit please.
Here's what my old Tannoys looked like

They are very open sounded and have a deep base that would travel though the room top to bottom.

Although i would settle for the newer TANNOYS if i could get a pair for under $200 but cannot see that happening really.
Depending on size of the speakers i'm after a sub too for around $300. I've seen some on egg but was wondering if there are any other brands than TONNOY to go for.

Please no alloy type tweeters.

Thank You

EDIT:
Here's what i am thinking of getting at this time

I'd like get the floor standing ones but don't think we have the space haha.

Which is about the best I've come across for the price.

Never listened to the model you link to, but the Polk audio subs and floor speakers I have listened to all sounded great for the price. I think it is going to be hard to beat Polk especially price / performance wise. Some of the other "cheaper" stuff I have heard that sounded good was Energy Speakers (do not know if they still exist or not I think Klipsch bought the brand a while back) and to my surprise some tiny B&W (cannot recall model number), but the later was like ~ $400 here in Denmark.

Cheers, i'm not a big fan of B&W from my last to experiences as i always thought the base sounded flat and weak were the alloy tweeters they were doing around then sounded over powering and tinny.

Klipsch sound like the other option. As long as they don't sound like BOSE lol. I like my extended bass that moves :P..

And it does seem like a hell load of people actually like Polk too but thought some one might of been able recommend some thing else..
