High memory clock and gpu at idle

opened up afterburner after noticing a raise in temp after gaming and my memory clock at idle is at 7000 and gpu is at 1215 and never used to do this. And it’s stuck there and I’ve tried restarting l, everything is up to date , used Nvidia inspector, just about everything. I have a rtx 2070 and a i7 4790k. Bought a new case and moved components into said case but something is just eating up my memory and can’t figure it out.

Is there any GPU load? Check with GPU-Z.

The mem clock says it’s at 1750 and there’s no load , afterburner says it’s at 7000 idk which is more accurate

Sorry didn’t reply directly to you, posted it within here, thing is I have a 3 monitor setup, and just switched my internals to a new case and noticed that mem clock is always on. I usually play COD at around 48 degrees C but it went up to almost 65 which is why I’m here and don’t know why.

UPDATE: I turned on the Nvidia surround settings and it brought down my mem clock and gpu to normal. I don’t loke playing in surround and gonna switch it back to just normal 3 monitor display 1920x1080 instead of 5760x1920. And see if everything is back to normal.

UPDATE: switched it back to 1920x1080 and it went back up so how can I optimize the 3 monitors without using the Nvidia surround

Multiple monitors is the answer but it still seems high.

No idea about nvidia intel. Maybe you can try something on nvidia like on amd to change the standard timings. Im just a regular user discovered this because my system runs on amd cpu and gpu. And also because i havent found any answers online but this thing works for me thats why im sharing.
