Higher uncore = faster memory?

im just been testing a few things and i get better memory performance running a higher uncore than a lower one? i still have to run LinX to see if its stable but any one know why this would be?

I assume you are running the same memory speed with different Uncore clocks, yes ?

I didn't know the L3 cache speed varied with the uncore clocks, to be frank, but if this is true then this will be the most likely reason for your performance increase (Although the memory controller frequency can't hurt either).
 
L3 cache is designed for the Memory subsystem in machines these days for latency compensation.

im running at 3.6Ghz cpu clock ratio at 18x my memorys on 1067Mhz/2:8 so it stays at 1600Mhz, cpu host at 200 and uncore on 18x, but i had my uncore on 16x before and i used everest to test and i get faster read/right running it on 18x

As does L1 cache and L2 cache. I am not unfamiliar with the concept of cache memory, I just did not realize the Uncore speed affects the speed of the L3 cache on i7 CPUs (Although it does make sense).

the uncore is all on the core that doesnt run on the cpu clock and are clocked separated.
something along them lines. i think
