Does anyone know of a way to quickly switch audio outputs quickly in Windows 10? Right now I have to right click on the audio setting icon and manually switch between my headphones and my amp.

Nope, sadly, and a lot of programs fail to recognize the switch when it occurs (stays tied to the device when the application started).

Setting them for default device and default communications does not work?
Been using that option for years. If the headset is detected, it plays through that, and if not on (wireless) my amp gets the signal.

I have found getting physical switch is the best, but it really should be possible in software. It's one of those annoying things that does not seem to be important enough.

yea wish most programs would recognize the switch. but at least if i had a hot key i would only need to hit one key rather than reload the program and manually switch outputs.

Both devices are plugged in at the same time.

oooh physical switch. need to check that.

Analog physical switch is the best solution because, on the software side, nothing changes. Problem is, software always ties to one output so using two DACs is still problematical unless what software goes where doesn't change and you have the ability to assign that in the software itself.

It sounds like a headache to me. Opening playback properties and changing it there is really the best/only solution.

my logitech speakers have a "satellite" audio control which has a headphone/audio 3.5mm jack built into it right on the Volume knob, which i just hot glued to My office desk, so i can plug & unlug it super easy, thats what my solution to this issue has been, and its pretty painless. i know its not what you asked, maybe you can get one of those, and set your system up similar to the way i have set mine up?

i dont know if it would suite your set up, but im sure items like this can be bought on their own.

this is mine: without using the 3.5mm jack it plays through speakers, With a headphone plugged in it plays through the headset...simple but elegant (& super dusty) ;)
