I've been using Asus Tuf GT301 model case for 5 months. It has a magnetic filter on the top. Yesterday I used hair dryer for cleaning but It got badly bended. After that I heated up with iron and partially fixed it. But still, it looks far different from the original state. Also, very interestingly, the filter length has decreased over 2cm after the process!
So is there anyway to find spare part? Will Asus provide me the spare part? Has anyone experienced something like this?

Not a good idea to dry it with a hair dryer. Captain Hindsight says you should have just washed it and dried it with a towel.

I don't think you can get any spares for cases.
Personally I'd make another if that happened. It's just a piece of plastic mesh with some flexible fridge door seal magnets.

try Amazon search for [magnetic dust filter] maybe a size that fits there are a few available

I would contact ASUS, admit your blunder and see if they will sell you another.

And yeah - not sure how anyone would think a hair drier would be good idea. I mean, how close to the filter did you hold the dryer nozzle? Were you trying to dry the filters, or blast out the dust? For sure I am NOT trying to ridicule or embarrass you - I am just curious. Have you always used a hair dryer?

If really dirty, I just rinse mine out in the sink, then tap the filter to the heel of my hand to knock the big drops off, then press it dry between a couple paper towels. Even if still damp, the case fans will quickly and thoroughly dry them the rest of the way without risking any water getting on the electronics.

For some client systems that were really nasty, I have had to soak the filters in "warm" Dawn dish water.

That said, typically, I can get most filters clean enough by taking them outside and give them a few blasts of compressed air. I have a properly equipped (filtered) air compressor but cans of compressed dusting gas work fine for this too.

I am curios about this as well, wanted to find this mesh material a couple of months ago as well but I haven't been able to find anything, which is bewildering.

I've used speaker grill cloth before. The downside is that it is cloth - and not washable. But it cleans up well (or good enough anyway) with compressed air.

Also, note that many case makers are not really case makers. I am sure, for example, that ASUS does not make their own cases. They buy from an OEM supplier, then slap their own ASUS logo on them. So with a lot of researching with Bing Google, one might be able to find the same filter from another maker, perhaps even the OEM, who will sell a replacement.

I used material from the wife's tights in the past. Excellent dust filter, let's the air through.

I did and they replied today saying " You should contact the store you have purchased. Have a nice day"

Ridiculous.

It may work, but I want the original. And It sounds silly to buy a new case because of the defect filter. :/

My mind is running the wrong way when I hear tights. Tights are surprisingly "multi purpose".

@mclaren85

Maybe you can cut out a fine plastic mesh? There are finer ones than this. They are usual available at hardware shops or planting/horticulture shops. They are often used as mosquito netting.

:( Yeah, that made no sense at all.

Yeah, I think panty-hose would be better.

if you ever need a replacement part for a case, or other device, just reach out to the manufacturer.

i have never owned an asus case, i didnt know they made them, but when my front bezel mesh broke on my Fractal Meshify, i reached out to Fractal, told them it broke, & i asked if i could buy a new one.
they told me they didnt sell the part, but they would give it to me for the cost of a shipping label. so i emailed them a shipping label, & they sent me a new front bezel mesh.

dont ever be hesitant to ask the manufacturer of ANY thing you own, for support.....thats what their customer service is for, & it is part of what you paid for when you made the purchase.

I do this often. one of my fans was making a sound, & it annoyed me. so i reached out to noctua, & told them, & they shipped me a new fan, which isnt a small deal, since those fans sell for roughly $55

He just said in his last reply that he did and they told him to contact the retailer.

Yes you are right, and I already did. But Asus Turkey simply ignores..
Maybe I should reach out the HQ in Europe or North America?

If they have a replacement, I doubt they would ship it to you for free. So then, would the cost be worth it? I guess only you can decide that.

One of my friend broke the side-panel of his Corsair brand case. They ship it free from North America in just four days. I wish I've bought Corsair..

Give them a try. I bought some filters from them about 10 years ago. They were very good and they come in various sizes.

I got a set of custom built filters off them for my Cooler Master HAF XB Evo case. They work rather well. They help keep out so much extra dust.

I'll probably pick up another set of them for my second XB Evo case and do a complete clean on that system when they come in.

I have been cutting this to size for years.
But that is 1 inch thick. That might work at the top of the case, but not sure about behind the front panel.

Window AC Filters work too and at only 1/4 inch thick, fit just about anywhere. But you may have to construct some sort of frame to hold it in place and in shape. And I am assuming it is the filter frame that is the biggest hurdle to cross here, in terms of a suitable replacement for the warped one.

I've send another e-mail to Asus europe today. I wish my wordings are correct.

"Hello, I'm using the Asus Tuf gt301 model case. But the upper magnetic filter has damaged due to my fault. I need a replacement part for a fee.
Asus Turkey won't be able to help me. But according to Turkish law, the company must provide adequate spare parts for a period of time.
Looking forward to hearing from you. I'm ready to escalate the situation unless I got proper response
