Hey all, I'm helping a friend build his magnum opus pc and we decided on doing a tie-dyed themed build with a painted case and the new Livemixer motherboard from asrock. When we were looking for GPUs we wanted something overly-colorful and preferably without rgb and I came across the Yeston Sakura 7900 XTX. The problem is that it only appears to be available from JD and I can't find a solid answer if they ship to the US or not. Moreover I'm not sure if Yeston's aliexpress store will ever carry it based on what I'm reading. Would we have to import it somehow or use a package forwarding service or is there another way?

Ah, :D

Sorry, can't help you otherwise though...

or is there another way?

The other way is to buy a plane ticket and go there and pick one up in person. Otherwise you're stuck with forwarding services.

Gotcha, I figured. Thanks anyways though!

Alternatively - get a picture of the Yeston card and walk into a modelling/hobby store/workshop if you have one local to you and ask them if they would be willing to paint an off the shelf graphics card for you or know someone who would do a job like that someone from an autopaint workshop might be willing to do it as a one off side gig but it might lack the detailing like the lettering and stuff like that. But they should definitely manage to get the card looking to how it does in the picture.

you get to negotiate the price for the work. Though if you paint the cooler, That might cause problems should you need to RMA the card in future.

Found an Aliexpress link - I dislike them intensely but it may be the only way...

My only hesitation is that there's zero info or reviews on that store so idk if I'd be willing to spend 2 grand on that level of risk.

Honestly at this point I'd be more willing to just do a custom paintjob on an off-the-shelf card. That way we could go fully into the tiedye theme as well.

Yup. Welcome to aliexpress.

I would recommend getting a model with a relatively flat heatsink, probably the XFX Speedster, and printing a vinyl sticker for the shroud.

Oh wow I never thought about doing a vinyl sticker. Also thanks for the GPU suggestion.

yep, that suggestion from @Count von Schwalbe was quite helpful ... i am ashamed that my love for anime themed design, aherm, blinded me and made me avoid that suggestion myself ...

good job count! :toast:

Hey now, don't be ashamed. Embrace what you like.
Heaven knows I'm not in a place to judge as a furry...

Amazon or newegg, maybe newegg.

I bought my case from amazon.uk back in 2014.

Sadly I checked both of those and neither specifically have the Yeston Sakura 7900 XTX

Does Yeston remind anyone else of Sparkle? Yeston looks like what I thought Sparkle would have eventually become if it had survived:

I got a Yeston 6800XT shipped direct from Yeston, bought through Newegg. It shipped from HK and arrived earlier this week. So yes, Yeston ships direct to the US...

Sadly I couldn't find it on their newegg store, hence why I tried to find another way.

That reminds me of Steve Burke reviewing a Yeston RX 6800 XT (either that or a 6900 XT) and he said that Yeston had put actual ladies' perfume into the card. I almost died laughing.

It is a fetish kind of a product, so I'm not surprised.

My son was disappointed mine didn't stink lol. It must have been much worse on the 6900 than my 6800...
